Shape: Directional Twin Early Rise Float Mechanics: EARLY RISE is a longer tip section that comes off the snow closer to the front binding area. This front end rise and float design gives a board incredible lift in powder, slush and heavier snow conditions. This also provides very smooth turn initiation compared to a traditional steeper kick transition that tends to plow or push snow when engaging a turn.
Extended Transition Area: A flat section of a snowboards profile, the TRANSITION AREA, that lies at the end of the camber zones just before the tip/tail rise. This area smooths out the transition between the camber area and the tip rise for fluid turn initiation and enhanced powder floatation.
Powergrip Sidecut: Utilizes multiple radiuses creating extra contact points to enhance edge hold. A flat section in the rocker area provides a broad contact point when flexed, however when unbent allows the board to track straight and not catch. Flanking this straight section are two shallow radiuses which provide the second and third contact points. Towards the ends of the sidecut are deep radiuses which render quick turn initiation and the final contact points.
Core: Powersurf Wood Core: A high percentage of lightweight Paulownia is combined with Poplar and Birch running down the middle of the core and Poplar along the sidecut edge. Adding strength and the optimum amount of torsional rigidity. THE POWERSURF WOOD CORE strategically combines these woods in crucial areas of the core for a durable yet lightweight feel.
Laminates: Carbon Max Laminate Technology: More carbon equals more power and performance. The CARBON MAX LAMINATE TECHNOLOGY combines an advanced top and bottom carbon matrix to maximize response and strength where it's needed most. The result is a lightweight yet powerful configuration that provides torsional rigidity and energy transfer without sacrificing the control a rider needs.
Bi-Lite Fiberglass: Combines many of the strength characteristics of our STS fiberglass with an ultra light glass fiber matrix. This delivers incredible freestyle and freeride performance without sacrificing durability.
STS Pre-Tensioned Fiberglass: An advanced pre-hardened, pre-tensioned, layered laminate that has added elastomer stringers between the 0 degree and 90 degree glass fibers (the length of the effective edge). This produces a stronger bond between the individual glass laminates giving our snowboards unmatched strength, edge hold and performance. Most bows use this type fiberglass due to it's unmatched ability to spring back and cast an arrow at a tremendous velocities without breaking. RDS 2 Damping System: RDS 2 or Rubber Damping System 2 is the perfect balance of freeride stability and freestyle liveliness. A more substantial system than a freestyle board to stabilze the board at higher speeds but a little less than damping in a freeride board for leaving the snow. An ideal combination of vibration absorbtion and energetic feel.
Sidewalls: UHMW Sidewall: Unlike conventional ABS sidewalls, that have a tendency to crack in colder temperatures, UHMW POLYETHYLENE SIDEWALL maintain their integrity at any temperature. UHMW Polyethylene sidewalls also enhance damping characteristics above the metal edge. P-TEX Tip/Tail Protection: Places UHMW or Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene out to the ends of the board for incredible durability. This material protects these crucial ends of the boards from impact damage and will not crack or break. It not only absorbs impact but also a high amount of residual vibration, while sealing and protecting the wood core.
Base: Durasurf XT Sintered 5501 Base: Exclusive to Never Summer. Just the right amount of graphite has been added making the DURASURF XT SINTERED 5501 BASE one of the fastest and certainly the most durable P-Tex bases on the market.

Topsheet: Co-Extruded Polymer Topsheet: Made from Nylon & Polyester, the PREMIUM TOPSHEETS are very durable, lightweight, scratch and chip resistant fiber backed thermoplastic. These premium topsheets also provide extremely vibrant colors along with more grip than other topsheet materials, working as a built in stomp pad.
Additional Features: Blower Stance Binding Inserts: Blower Stance Inserts allow riders to set their bindings farther back on the board, creating a more surf-inspired stance that helps the nose rise and the tail sink in deep snow. This freeride-focused setup delivers effortless float, smoother turns, and less back-leg burn when chasing powder.
Elastomeric Underfoot Stabilizers: These stabilizers are placed directly below the mounting area, providing optimum vibration and shock absorption and increase high-speed stability. These underfoot stabilizers also add cushioning while reducing foot fatigue.
