Designed to ride the entire resort and score an A+ in the turning category, the K2 Almanac snowboard is writing the newest chapter in Volume Shift™ snowboards. Purpose-engineered to be a daily driver, this snowboard takes inspiration from models like the Party Platter and Excavator, and charts it’s own course. When choosing the Almanac, you’ll want to size down ~5cm, due to it’s wider than average outline (read: Volume Shift™) - so if you normally ride a 158cm snowboard, you’ll want to get your hands on the 153cm length for lapping your favorite run at the resort.

When it comes to tech, the Almanac does not skimp. Camber under-foot with raised contact points in the tip and tail help make this snowboard comfortable riding the entire resort - enough snap for the feeling of energy in and out of the turn, and a fluid feel when transitioning from edge to edge. From the bottom up, we’ve started with a hard and fast sintered 4000 base, a snappy core consisting of bamboo, aspen, and poplar woods, a bi-axial fiberglass weave, and our tip-to-tail carbon backbone snapping Ollies over slow signs. The Almanac also features an additional set of inserts for the front binding, so you can set your bindings back and enjoy a little extra float on the deep days.

The real deal. Go anywhere, do anything. Have fun. Enjoy looking down at your board. Is there anything more you need?

Product Details

Rocker Type

Directional Combination Camber Profile – The best of both worlds. By blending both traditional Camber and Rocker profiles, Combination Camber gives you all the benefits of both; the pop and precision of camber, and the float and predictability of rocker.

Flex

Flex Rating – 5 (1 Playful - 10 Precise)

Shape

Volume Shift™ – Volume is moved from the tips and tails of traditional snowboard shapes and placed underfoot where it can be better controlled. This makes a wider, shorter design that maintains the same float and stability of a traditional board, but increases mobility and maneuverability. Size down 3-5cm from your uaual snowboard length.

Core

BAP Core – Bamboo. Aspen. Paulownia. K2 has blended three species of renewable timber to assemble a core that’s strong, lightweight, and designed to enhance dampening without the addition of other materials.

Laminates

Carbon Backbone™ – Tip to tail cambered carbon insert running down the center of the snowboard adds response and rebound for precise control on approaches and landing heavy tricks, and adding snap to every ollie.

Biax Glass – Smooth all-purpose performance with a no-frills design. Fibers are woven together at 0° and 90°, creating a more forgiving flex pattern.

Base

Sintered 4000 Base – The sintered 4000 base absorbs wax deep into the material for relentless glide and unrivaled durability.

Additional Features

Hybritech™ Construction – Backed by years of rigorous testing, Hybritech is the lightest weight, most durable snowboard construction on the market. Removing excess sidewall material in the tip and tail and adding a 3D capped edge to increase the bond strength of the fiberglass and decrease the swing weight of the board is what makes Hybritech so revolutionary, helping K2 boards spin faster, maneuver easier, and last longer.

Binding Compatibility

2 x 4 Inserts
